Michelle - Congas/Percussion, Sax & Vocals...

Michelle has been with All Wrapped Up from its conception. She learnt to play tenor saxophone when she was asked to join the Berkshire Youth Jazz Orchestra in 1989, having played Clarinet from the age of 10. She went on to play alto and soprano sax, has played in many bands, and has been known to teach sax.

Having played a bit of drums at school, Michelle took congas lessons in 1994 from Hamish Orr at DrumTech in London.

Michelle recently studied with LP endorsee Karl van den Bossche
- giving her congas skills a thorough revamp ;) Michelle also took vocal coaching lessons and now sings with AWU as well as play perecussion and sax.

In late 2005, Michelle appeared on an Andy Lewis'/Acid Jazz record label album entitled "The Billion Pound Project". Out of the 14 track album Michelle plays saxes on 7 tracks (and congas on one track). The album can be purchased here! The follow up album to this is due for release early 2007 where Michelle has been asked to contribute again.

Michelle has also played sax and percussion for premiere jazz funksters "The Bag Ladies" and "Infusion", plus pop band "Peter Falconer & The Mutiny".

Michelle loves running, chocolate, and hot and spicy food...
