John - Bass Guitar...

I grew up surrounded with the lovely sound of the bass all my life. My father Ed Faultless was a well respected and successful double bass player in the 60's & 70's London Jazz scene. I first studied trumpet at school and then moved to the double bass in my high school. Once I left school I took up the bass guitar and spent many years playing in my bedroom until l finally felt I wanted to LEARN this instrument.

I enrolled at The Bass Institute in London and studied many types of music from Jazz, Funk and Pop. I still played in my bedroom until moving to Basingstoke in 1991, where I joined my first band RIFFRAFF and played many pubs and clubs in the Hampshire area.
